Slab Building
Ceramic Handbuilding with Slabs
Available for Local and Out-of-Town Guests
Slab building is a pottery technique where flat pieces of clay (called slabs) are rolled out, then cut, shaped, and joined together to create unique ceramic forms. This method is ideal for building geometric shapes, boxes, and architectural-style pieces, offering great control and creativity. It’s a wonderful introduction to hand-building and works well for both functional and sculptural designs.
